 Message from the President...I extend greetings from the Mid-Eastern Tennis Association (META). As a sectional organization of the American Tennis Association (ATA), we have three primary directives. First, too provide support to the ATA mid-eastern section (Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia.) Second, to represent the ATA members in our area. Third, offer programs to promote the game of tennis through our member clubs. The Mid-Eastern Tennis Association will hold four quarterly meetings this year. Each member club is expected to be represented. We also extend an invitation to ATA members not affiliated with a member club who wish to attend our meetings, offer suggestions, and give us voluntary time that every organization needs. In closing, I ask for the continued support of our returning volunteers and invite new individuals and clubs to join our ranks and enjoy a different type of tennis.
