The contributions to the
"Take Down The Signs" campaign as of August 10, 2007 total
$214,610.53. To God be the glory.
Our update is as follows:
- The
interior of all buildings have been cleared of
trash; and shrubs and trees have been cut down at
1526, 1528, 1534 and 1536 9th Street and 1543 8th
Street at a cost of $8,050.00. This bill has
been paid.
- Gutter work
has not been completed at 1533 9th Street.
- Brick work is
also complete on the 8th and 9th Street properties.
A second payment in the amount of $11,000.00, was
made on
these properties.
- A contract
has not been signed by the Trustees for the roof
work needed at 1534 8th Street.
- A permit is
still needed to dismantle the garage.
We cannot thank
our Shiloh family enough for your generous support, your
kind words and your prayers. If funds remain,
after we have met the requirements of the District of
Columbia to Take The
(Condemnation) Signs Down,
we will seek recommendations from the congregation for
future spending.
