What is discipleship? What does it
mean to completely and totally follow Christ with all our
hearts, minds and soul? Our Bible study for
the next few weeks will attempt to answer these
questions.
In Matthew 28 (The Great Commission), Jesus
dispatched his followers to go into all the world,
teaching, baptizing and making disciples. Prior to the
commissioning, they met Jesus on a mountain where they
worshiped him, as they still doubted.
Discipleship does not mean that we have all the answers.
It does mean we have learned to take our anxieties
and uncertainties to God. Discipleship begins with
praise and encompasses study, service and prayer.
Someone once said disciples pray constantly, study
regularly, serve eagerly and worship faithfully.
Plan to attend Thursday Night Bible Study and Prayer
Meeting. We will learn what it means to be a
disciple in God's Village. If you come faithfully,
it will change your life.
Then Jesus came to them and said, All authority in
heaven and earth has been given to me. Therefore,
go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded
you. And surely I am with you always, to the very
end of the age.(Matthew 28:18-20; NIV)

OUR PURPOSE
Building the
Village by Caring
Concept: Our
pastor, the Reverend Wallace Charles Smith, envisions a
holistic Ministry of Building by Caring, which includes a
3-tier approach - Care for Ourselves
(spiritually), Care for Our Relations
(family, friends and members), and Care
for Our Community (outreach). In
building our capacity to care we will also create an
atmosphere that will increase our church's membership,
winning more souls to Christ; they will know we are
Christians by our love;.
