ADVENTURES IN BOOKS

  • Most boys completed Bobcat requirements
     

  • Boy participated in read-a-thon (the more you read the more you know-the more you know the smarter you are) CUB CHANT
     

  • Boys visited local library
     

  • Boys collected canned goods to help feed the homeless for goodwill

SEEDS OF KINDNESS

  • Boys learned Bringing in the sheaves
     

  • Boy planted seeds and plants to give as a goodwill gesture.
     

  • Boys made  Thankful turkeys to be given away to friends of the Cub Scouts

December 2008

HOLIDAY LIGHTS

  • Boys made ornaments to give away at the senior center
     

  • Boys sang Christmas carols for Parent program at school
     

  • Boys made holiday light ornaments and learned about the Christmas and other holidays of different cultures celebrated during the winter holiday season

 
January 2009

A "MAZE"ING GAMES

  • Boys and Parents visited museums to learn about inventions to give inspiration for games and mazes project
     

  • Boys worked in teams to design their own amazing games
     

  • Boys also learned to play chess from a local Chess master and most have earned on are the road to advancement for the chess belt loop
     

  • Boys learned about sportsmanship in all games
